Cat Goes Meow
It has been a rather interesting few months since my last written update, but I am happy to report that I've had the pleasure of interviewing some stellar guests on catgoesmeow (the radio show).
The first was a dear friend Laura, and her bandmate Dylan - both members of the grunge/rock band Laura and the Hell Cutz. We did a full album listen through of 'Teethe', and learnt about its production, distribution and nascence. A wonderful first interview for the show!
Next, we had Simon Agosta of the Melbourne based menswear brand 'Milkbar'. We went to kinder together, though I only found this out after booking in the interview. We spoke about his latest marketing campaign that centered "going analog". It was fascinating!
Another band interview (or part-thereof) followed, with Emile and Aleksei from Lalu. We listened to songs from their latest album (which was recorded DIY, though it does not sound it!). The music was a big hit with my mum. And our interview was lots of fun, talking about critters and seasons and brotherly connection.
Most recently I had yet another first. A live performance! Ben La of Peach Fuzz dropped his guitar off while I was making salami on the Sunday prior to the show. Meeting me at the studio straight off of a flight from Sydney, he performed 4 songs in the NWFM Studio 1, and answered my many questions about guitar and the Beatles.
The cat is meowing, and staging private concerts seems to be the go..…
Until next time,
Cat Xoxooxoxo
